Why I'm Happy-Dancing Today

by Lisa BodellOn any given weekday, you'll find me at my NYC office or speaking to audiences in Asia, Europe, or the Middle East. Delivering keynote speeches is one of those activities I can't believe I get paid for.  I love the challenge of engaging a room full of thousands of strangers.I look forward to the moment when my real-world examples tangibly resonate with them. Above all, I get a rush when I hear from attendees after they’ve put my futurethink tools and techniques into action. When you're passionate about something, you constantly seek ways to improve the quality of that product. When that product is delivering speeches, you take your cues from your audiences, peers, and the organizations that hire you. So it's especially rich to hear that I was voted one of Speaking.com's Top 25 Speakers... alongside people like Anderson Cooper, Suze Orman, and Lisa Ling.My response to this kind of honor is similar to that scene in Billy Elliot, where Billy just can't contain himself (but minus the good dancing). For that, I defer to Carlton.
